First Step: Chipping at the Iceberg

First Step : Chipping at the Iceberg

So I have been asked how I am doing on my new Paleo Lifestyle and how long I plan to stay on it.  Thus far, I view this a  permanent lifestyle.  Only because what i have learned so far.  I am not a writer nor a scientist by nature (although I feel that since being on this Paleo journey it has given me new confidence in actually comprehending some of the science behind it)   So I will do my best to articulate what i have learn to my handful of readers.  I even contemplated drawing pictures as I am more of a visual learner.  Here are a few seeds to start your planting.  As you learn more about the Paleo lifestyle, remember it is only a framework.  There is no black and white.  There are a few rules to this lifestyle and you will learn that.

Here are some great resources I have come across that gave me a good baseline.

1. Robb Wolf  "The Paleo solution"http://www.robbwolf.com/
2 Dr. Loren Cordain  "The Paleo answer" His newest book.  http://thepaleodiet.com/
3. Sean Croxton (SDSU alumni Go Aztec! had to throw that in )  http://undergroundwellness.com/
4. http://civilizedcavemancooking.com/   Some great recipes to keep you excited about eating great dense food!
5. http://paleomg.com/  More recipes and funny stories of another girl's journey.  She uses some choice words, but she's entertaining to read.
6. http://paleodietlifestyle.com/  another site that gives some basic info on Paleo and some good recipes.
7. http://everydaypaleo.com/  Great story of a mom of 3 and how she is making it work in her family!  You Go girl!  A Great success story.  Check out her before and after. Try the Greek meetballs, yummy!!
8. If you need to really geek out and get the gritty stuff on science Dr. Jack Kruse has some great insight and a great story how he weighed 354 lbs and lost tons of weight.  http://jackkruse.com/
9. Chris Kresser I listened to a great presentation on Cholestrol, wow never knew so much about it!  http://chriskresser.com/
10. Mark Sisson another great resource for basic information http://www.marksdailyapple.com

Those sites should give you enough to keep you browsing for awhile.  Most of them do a pod cast which is nice for commuters.

Favorite repeats recipes so far:

2. Breakfast: Egg bites http://paleomg.com/on-the-go-egg-bites/
3. dinner: http://everydaypaleo.com/2012/01/18/yummy-greek-meatballs/ you can probably make it into a meatloaf.

I usually make tons for the week so I don't have to bother cooking everyday.

Happy Browsing because we have just begun to chip the top of the iceberg.  tons of info below the water!
